Hi, I’m Megan — my chosen English name, like many immigrants, to save everyone from struggling with spelling and pronouncing my authentic name. Behind this simple name is a story of dreams, resilience, and family.
I first came to the U.S. as an international student chasing my education dream. After earning my Master’s degree from Mizzou, life took me down new paths. I married, became a mom, and like many mothers, looked for ways to balance work and family life. I found myself working in nail salons and running an online business — something that allowed me to stay close to my kids while earning a living.
When the pandemic hit, my online business was wiped out. But instead of giving up, I returned to what I knew best — nails. This time, I took a bigger leap.
